That is a lot of weight on the socket just free hanging.
Should come with some sliding struts and self tappers to attach to your case so it'll bear the weight of that sob lol.
:stupid:
One KILOgram! I'd be nervous about something breaking!

Nothing has ever broken, although I would be more comfortable with the motherboard horizontal instead of vertical.

Doesn't it have a backplate?

It comes with its own backplate although it's not much more significant than what is normally already on the back of many higher end motherboards.

My computers gotta ride in the back of a jeep wrangler (not exactly the softest ride on the road) I'm not sure if i'd trust something that huge not to break or flex something.
But not everyone's 55lb deskop goes traveling on the weekends.

I moved it cross country in the back of a suburban three times with no issues. Still, I get your point. There's reason to worry but I never had any problems.

As long as you're not using the Intel push pins mounting (lack of) solution then it should be okay. I thought my CPU died after a move when my Mugen came unseated slightly. I had braced it with a wire support but it must have been jarred slightly as the computer would boot and start posting till the CPU hit the heat threshold and would shut down. I picked up the backplate and haven't experienced any problems since in 4 long moves.
