I'm looking for a single roll of 4910 1/4" x 36 yard. I've seen prices very widely from $29-90+USD for this one roll. I think the $29 is a pretty good deal judging from what I've seen but I was wondering if it got sweeter than that. Are there any magical stores out there that I should check?

4910 1/4" for $29 (http://www.uline.com/BL_6038/3M-4910-VHB-Acrylic-Tape?keywords=3m)

EDIT:
Also, I've been seeing pics of tape dispensers with an edge guide to quickly and perfectly lay the tape along an edge. However, I've searched dozens of industrial supply and other sites without being able to find anything similar. Perhaps it was a custom job? Anyone know?

I last bought it a couple of years ago directly from 3m. It was $33 for 3/4" x 15 yards. I still have about 1/2 of the roll left.

If shipping is comparable that uline price is very good.

Thanks, that is a completely different 3M website than I was browsing through. I must have been on the industrial site because I could only purchase by the case.

EDIT:
Nevermind, same site. 1/4" is only sold by the case direct from 3M. :(

Steelmax can bond a 320psi pneumatic hose and keep on kicking.

I wish I could loot exactly what I need from someplace that wouldn't mind.:)
I need the VHB tape specifically for its permanent bond that is insanely strong yet flexible. It's going to replace acrylic welds.

I would sugjest taking a trip to your local window company or talk to glazers/roofers on a construction site. At the least they'll be able to point you in the right direction on where to get it locally

A window company would be a good place to start. Thanks!

lol PS company is a window company oddly enough

well windows/doors/vinyl siding.

I know for a fact ACE hardware has VHB, but only the white label and red label, not the super grey label industrial VHB.

You could also try a sign shop. When I worked in one we used it quite a bit.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. I was hoping they would be the type of business that might have or know where to get one of those neat 2-sided tape applicators with the edge guide. I might just have to make one though.:)
