One of our sweepers who's been there a couple of years broke his wrist so guess whos position he took over? Yep, mine. He took over my 2nd shift because it's fairly easy and you don't NEED 2 hands. The totem pole goes from bottom to top, back door, front door, roamer. Because I'm new, I'm at the back door... but since he took it over, I'd be moved to front door and the front door guy would be moved up to roamer. Good deal, almost as if I'm getting a promotion! Exxxxcept, on slow days there's no need for an extra roamer so guess who gets cut from the night? You guessed it. My income was literally cut in half 2 weeks before Christmas. Awesome.
