Well, it's good to see they're covering all the bases, even if it is ridiculous. *Goes back to planning zombie/raptor/nuclear-proof shelter for the inevitable apocalypse* ... :whistler:

Seriously though, it is good to have all possibilities covered. As much as people may laugh at it now, if contact were to occur and they didn't have any plans on what to do in that scenario, those same people would probably go off about how irresponsible it was of them to not consider and plan for this possibility. Hindsight is 20/20, as they say. :P

Well after some of the things the president of Iran said, appointing an ambassador to E.T. is not that far of a stretch. IMO Neil deGrasse Tyson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_deGrasse_Tyson) would have been a better choice, but that's just the astronomy nerd coming out in me. Now we just need to have Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith fitted for new suits and make sure our memory erasing pens are fully charged.
