realistically, it did spin up quickly, so maybe it's not too bad.

I've made one, and your right, on that scale, there isn't crap for torque.

But how much power would a combustion engine make if it was that size?

I'm going to make one out of a D cell battery and see how that goes.

not exactly sure how i'll get my magnet to work with it though.

It's not so much the cell used, but the lack of turns.

Yep,

T = (nlrBi)/2

Where T is the torque produced, n is the number of "turns" of wire, length l around a radius r. B is the radial flux density and i is the current through said wire.
