it takes roughly 20,000 computer systems, over a petabyte of storage, and over 4600 people. Using multiple data centers around the world, this works out to a total of 13,250 server blades, 75,000 CPU cores, and 112.5 terabytes of blade RAM

Yikes!

That is absolutely incredible.
How do I get that for a folding at home team?

and yet they still couldn't get instance servers to work right/have a high enough capacity after they released ToC.

Seriously though, that's some hardcore equipment. And for the amazing uptime they have with it, too...

To think, all those servers go down every week for maintenance, and only stay down for ~3 hours. Talk about a good tech team...
