That's priceless dude.

My brother-in-law told my dad that the oil light came on, but it was the light that usually comes on when his truck is low on oil.

The problem is: His 1982 Ford Ranger is not equipped with a "low oil" light. He neglected to put oil in his truck long enough to cause problems. My dad told him that light is usually the one that comes on after the engine has already seized up from no oil pressure.

Wow, what an idiot. That's almost worse than the guy who put brake cleaner in to clean the brake fluid out.

In that guy's defense, Brake Cleaner has kind of a misleading name, especially to the un-aware

but water in to an engine, what a ****ing knob.

Actually, about 10 years ago my aunt was real low on gas and decided to put oil in her gas tank thinking it would at least get her to a gas station.

It didn't

Thats why you keep a bottle of everclear (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everclear_(alcohol)) in your trunk for those emergencies. haha wreaks havoc on your engine but will get you to a gas station for sure.

Yep, that sounds like Ford alright.

That said...I can remember a certain Ford pickup that I thoroughly beat the **** out of back in the day. Lemme put it this way--Ford power steering pumps are among the strongest things known to man. Power Steering fluid, 30W oil, Olive Oil, it doesn't care. It'll keep on working.

That's so terrible. lol. Don't particuarly like the mustang. They've always been ugly to me. Although the Ford GT is sexy.

I drive an F-350. It's fun. Won't be running water through anything anytime soon though. Already had problems with bad diesel and bacteria eating away at the fuel filter. Buuuuut I love it. Hate bad diesel though (aka high water content, and high emulsifier levels to keep it suspended).

I really wasn't paying attention when I read through the first post the first time. About the time I hit the water part I half heartedly thought, "Hmm, isn't that a bad thing?" Got up to get some water before I started reading the comment, got half way to the fridge and started LOLing when it finally registered.

I'm surprised I haven't seen that thread yet with all the car related Stumbles I get.

Hey, I sold my Crown Vic to a friend, and he's still driving it. 450,000km

That's almost 280,000 miles. Not bad for a 92!!

I've got 150k on my 99 silverado, runs like a top still

the only major problem I had was the rear diff deciding it didnt want to stay in one piece anymore, but that was my fault  Ended up rebuilding her with a detroit locker, all has been good since

That stuff doubles as some Dank Hornet killer napalm.

on the flip side i know a guy with a 1986 town car that dropped a 486ci Ford racing engine in it.
