TBCS was down this morning for an unknown length of time. The problem 'fixed itself' at around 4pm GMT.

At the moment, we're unsure of the cause of the problem. Thanks to everyone on MSN who helped me confirm the problem.

Can anyone help me to confirm exactly when the site went down?

Within the last 20 minutes. I was browsing fine earlier.

Paul is aware and has been working with the hosting company. It's been going off an on for a little while now but they are working on the problem.

They replaced some hardware and are going to monitor it closely

I can't help but wonder if this might correct the dns errors that some members have been seeing...

Man I sure hope so, that would be great.

Me too.. When Dave notified me I checked and our server didn't go down at all, it was just the connection to it. So maybe FINALLY the suspected piece of networking hardware that has been giving us fits, is getting replaced.

I just did a tracert, and everything looks fine. No timeout on that second to last hop.

Ah, this could be interesting. Can anyone verify if our networking worries are over?

Unsticking this thread now.

I got a server not found error earlier but had just posted in a thread and it was refreshing to the thread. A simple Ctrl + R fixed it.

I've been getting the same error as ^ sporadically as well.

Just got it again and it took me 6 times of refreshing to get it back. I cleared my cookies, and all other temp internet files and the problem still was there. The total time I could not connect to TBCS was maybe 4-5 min. I am using ff3 and the latest update btw.

Back to monitoring the situation then. Next time this happens, could someone post a traceroute?

I haven't experienced any issues here at home or at work. For those that aren't sure on the trace route..

In a command prompt type tracert www.thebestcasescenario.com

Hey, at least your Exchange server doesn't go down every morning because of storage issues related to licensing... That and some of our executives refusing to trim their inboxes, jerks.

The cable is out at the house again but I will do one real quick here from my studio.

Haha... I had that exact same problem! I did some trimming for them.

Also, yesterday morning I couldnt reach the site either for about 20 mins. I figured it was regular maintenance, so didnt bother doing tracert. If it happens again, I'll do eet.
