Things I HATE about winter

Static electricity's the worst thing for me. Having to move my car for the plow truck gets a bit irritating, though, too.

I hate that we get all winter advertising from northern hemisphere companies that don't want to pay for localised marketing. They don't get that it's summer down here!

I hate parking where the apartment complex tells you to park after plow trucks come, only to have it drop another 8 inches and the plow trucks plow your car into a huge mound of snow.

Yup, just moved what seemed like a ton of snow that the plow put on/around/in/near/under/over/everywhere.

Yup, just moved what seemed like a ton of snow that the plow put on/around/in/near/under/over/everywhere.

Clean it off your car and leave it right in the middle of (wherever they have to plow). Repeat as necessary.

Last night it was -4 deg F. and today it got up to a balmy 1 deg. F.

-That doesn't take into account the wind chill. That made it feel like -15 below zero F.

All this hating on winter...here's what I hate: the fact that the days are going to be getting longer after today until June 21st.

1. Having to pull over to scrape the ICE off the INSIDE of my car.
2. Being told I cant drive because its to slippery
3. In the 45secs I'm out side from car to school my hands get so cold they hurt from just the mediocre heat that my school makes.
4. Thats leads me to how cold our school is BURRRR!
5. Freezing at night with like 12 blankets on....
6. Having to go out and do carts for my job with it snow.
7. Not being able to see 15 feet in front of you when its blizzarding out.

I do love:
1. Having the 12 Blankets on me.
2. NOT HAVING TO GO OUT SIDE FOR ANYTHING = ALWAYS ON THE COMPUTER.
3. Having snow days I love those...
4. Cold days when the windchill is -30 F.
5. Holidays Cold = Family time/Holiday's (Not just presents but I still like presents)

I hate it when my car ices over and the heater doesn't work (at all), so I have to scrape the ice off with a credit card.

I hate it when I buy an amp at the little shack thing at my school and it comes from the fridge and actually warms my hands up.

I hate those mornings where I can't drive and need to ride my bike three miles in 25 degree weather.

I hate those damned ozzies who are enjoying fun in the sun while my manparts freeze off.

Hmm... I "hate" going hiking up on the mountain while wearing proper clothing for the weather. I also "hate" the scenery for this time of year. Who doesn't like snow? lol :rolleyes:

I haven't driven in the snow yet so we'll see how that goes... especially with people behind me thinking they can do their usual 15 over the speed limit no matter the conditions. :down:

I lived in California and got sick of the steady 60 to 80F. "Winter" was really wierd because people who put out Santa's and decorate trees, but it didn't snow! It was 65F mid day!

It doesn't snow here.

Dips just below freezing (if that) at night. Which is pretty cold for these parts, but no snow, etc.

CA Winter = Rain, really. Lots of it. Rain and cold. No snow. Which makes me sad.

i think the coldest its been in toronto is about -15C or so with a windchill of -30C

sure its cold and its not fun but w/e. i don't mind the cold to much. i can stand -15C but when there is wind its annoying.



anyways on to the main thing i hate, people who can't drive in winter weather!

if your going to go slow, which is fine, do it in the proper lane!! Right is for driving and left is for passing!

/\ This. Soooo much this. Though it's not just the BMW drivers..or snow for that matter. Around here it seems like people forget how to drive whenever it rains, snows, there's a bit of fog, etc, etc. -_^

As for things I hate about winter... Short days..I have all this stuff I need to do outside but it's always dark by the time I get home. :( Also, cold wind. I don't mind just the cold, actually I rather like it. I don't mind it being 10F at all...but if it's 20F with a wind chill down to 10F I'm miserable.


BTW, TGS, for the static, try getting a humidifier. The problem is that forced air heat pulls all the moisture out of the air. I had the same problem at my old apartment; static all over the place and my knuckles were chapped to the point of bleeding. I got a humidifier and left it running 24/7 and both problems went away. :D ..also, yay for hot water radiator heat now. :D
