I just bought this (http://cgi.ebay.com/NASCADA-4WD-RADIO-CONTROL-RC-no-gas-POWER-ELECTRIC-CAR_W0QQitemZ250144400986QQihZ015QQcategoryZ19167Q QrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp163 8Q2em118Q2el1247) car. The video is really cool. I heard these things go about 30mph! That's pretty good for electric ones. Anyone have R/C cars?
Check out youtube for R/C drifting!

I have 4 cars, 3 nitros and one electric.
I used to compete with one of the cars, its a 1/8 scale buggy from kyosho :)
The other 3 are 1/10 scale !

I heard the parts on the Nitro's are real pricey!
I just gave one (http://cgi.ebay.com/HUGE-1-6-Radio-Control-Lamborghini-Gallardo-RTR-Car-RC_W0QQitemZ310056194393QQihZ021QQcategoryZ19167QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) away that was 1:6 scale, that's 28" Long!! A friend said he didn't know what to get his 8 year old son for his B-Day, and since I'm getting a new one, I gave him mine.

You're right about nitro cars having really expensive parts.
There is an exhaust gasket for the aftermarket engine I have on that, it seals the engine to the exhaust header. It's just a tiny circle of heat resistant rubber (maybe silicone) it would fit around your little finger and probably costs the manufacturer around 6 cents to make.
How much does it retail for? 9 dollars for a pair of them. 9 dollars. Plus shipping from tower hobbies (it's a part for an aftermarket engine, hobby shops don't stock them).
But it is a pretty fun hobby. It's a real motorhead kind of thing to get it tuned and built and everything. I just wish it worked more... but oh well. I bought it, may as well bite the bullet, order up the part, and get it running again. Too bad there aren't any tracks around here for it, it would be really fun to bash it on those.
