I've been a fan of the Penguins since day 1, and unfortunately my team fell short in the last second and a half and Hossa failed to tie the game with 1.5 left on the clock.

Congratulations to the Detroit Redwings for winning the cup. And next year, you better believe I'll be screaming LETS GO PENS!!!

Worst thing about the Stanley Cup finals: once they're over we have to wait till October for the NHL to start again.

As much as I have stated I am a Red Wings fan (third behind the Sharks and Devils), I was honestly rooting for the Penguins. They played well, but the Dead Things just never slowed down. Not sure where they got the energy. It was a lively series and I thought that the Penguins would pull it out. You have to give props to the fans for sticking around so long after the final buzzer, but at that point it is not about your team, it is about the game.

I still miss Stuart, and was happy that I got to see him hoist the cup.

IndyRacer: You are right! Just try living with my Wife (hereby known as Hockey Betty), for the next month or so while she goes through Hockey withdrawals. She has already made out the check for next seasons tickets...

Next season we are also starting a Fantasy Hockey League. I will post here when I know more to see if anyone is interested.

I can totally relate to your 'Betty'. I watched a recorded Flames/Oilers game a few days ago, and that was even before this series was over. Earlier tonight, I was going through my Don Cherry collection to see which DVD to watch next.

Next thing I'll be sure to watch on tv will be June 20 and June 21. Entry Draft 2008.

We are having a bbq on the 21st and the tube (guess that doesn't fit anymore) will be on. I think VS is covering it this year here.
