My friend Eric Anderson recently joined an online competition to win a 20 thousand dollar scholarship. He was recently accepted into Columbia University and is trying to raise enough money to actually attend school there. This would be of great help to him.

The competition is essentially a popularity contest. It's stupid, I know, but he is so close to winning and I would really like to see him win it.

All you have to do is follow this link, scroll down, and vote for Eric Anderson. It would be a great help to him and his family. Thank you very much for your support.

Edit: This is not a computer post or a generated SPAM post. It is a legitimate cause because my friend legitimately needs to get money for school.

Just thought I would give an update, last night Eric was down by 400 votes when he got home from school but by midnight he had gained the lead. Again, over night, this girl has somehow garnered more support and has taken the lead by substantial numbers. However, it is not over yet. He did it once and by golly he can do it again. I see that many people have already viewed this post, if you could please continue to support my friend it would be an amazing show of faith. Thank you very much.

I have a feeling he won't get it.

He's 200 down, and I did my part. I would rather have him than that other girl, she looks smart enough to make the money some other way.

I'm sorry, but her extreme cleavage will win her this competition hands down.

I wonder why the US doesn't have something like HECS.

Because the US government cares balls about education.

Well he is gaining on the competition. He is now within 130 votes of her. She gained her 200 votes between 3 AM and 7 AM which indicates to me that her friends in a different part of the world are voting for her during those times. I appreciate your support everybody. This is the closest race in the competition and I would really like to see my friend win this.

EDIT: I added my system. I loves that feature.

I appreciate all of the support everybody and thought I would share some good news. Eric is now in the lead by almost 50 votes. But like I said she starts surging between 3 AM and 7 AM so if you are reading this and haven't yet voted, please do. Thank you very much everyone.

As of now, there is 46 votes difference. If all else fails, I have a trick up my sleeve.

But I just voted again. Remember, different connections=multiple votes!

I'll be recruiting everyone I know tommorrow and also checking if the uni computers all have different IP addresses. Its a long shot, but if it works, :D

Somebody trying for unused proxies? ;)

I gave my vote last night. Wish him best of luck.

Thats my thought too. Would it be cheap if we used proxy servers to vote?

I wouldn't say it's as as much cheap as it is playing the system, like counting cards in blackjack.

According to the site, he's lost by around 200 votes

I must be doing something wrong, as they both show zero votes...
And I can't see a way to vote...

Maybe it's my UK ip address...
