This has been a great year for me. The kids are healthy, got a new job (that I love) with real insurance benefits, bought a house, got the truck back on the road. So, even though I'm working tonight and tomorrow night I'm glad to be here.

What are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving TBCS!

Not been the most amazing year for me but there are always positives to be found. I have had a great year with my girlfriend, who 2 months ago accepted my proposal and is now my Fiancee.

I'm also thankful for the support I have had from friends and family through some difficult times.

This year, I married my best friend, I dove head first into modding, am maintaining a B average in college, and have rediscovered my love of good beer.

I'm thankful for numerous things: Some other really close friends who just happen to be coworkers, SgtM's insight into all things LED (don't think I ain't watchin bud!), my parents for raising me the way they did, The Griz beating the Cats (it's a Montana thing!), and finally, having Christ in my life.

That's probably as 'Cliff-notes' as it's gonna get with me.

Gratz man, I guarantee that it will be the best mistake you two have ever made!

This past month has blown pretty hard, but happy turkeydeath, TBCS. I hope you all enjoy it. I (hopefully) will.

Without a doubt. You and your sister will be in my thoughts today just as you have been every other day.

I'm thankful that more and more folk seem to be waking up to the fact that the way the world is run is just plain wrong.

ps We don't kill all our turkeys until Christmas so I guess they are thankful for another few weeks of life ... what do you guys on that side of the pond eat for Christmas dinner?

:)

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that Turkeys are not self aware. In my philosophy, any creature that will knock itself unconcious by attacking a mirror, is dinner. :)

Did you ask a turkey?

Personally I hate turkeys since one that lived in my back garden France decided I was "competition" for his "girls" and attacked me on sight daily.

Mine too. Mind you - are we counting Schizophrenics?

:D <<< carnivorous teeth. I'll be eating turkey for Christmas dude. And I like to kill the meat I'm eating when I can. Not very Buddhist? My philosophy is if you are going to do something it is better to take responsibility for it. Buying meat in the supermarket is handy but killing it to eat is honest.

Happy Thanksgiving "Mes cousins Américains". Not a holiday we understand the significance of at all but honestly wishing you all the best and for those you love and even for those you hate.

LoL...Touche' my friend. :)

it's hard to define TG day in the US from a food standpoint because we have so many diverse ethnicities, and we all have our own traditions--There's the turkey of course, but in my family we also add lasagna and other italian foods--stuff that just makes us happy. Mostly carbs..and sweets...LoL

Me? Just glad to be seeing my family. We've got a variety of things going on, but we're gonna pull together.

And we got all the typical Thanksgiving stuff. Most of my family is within 15 minutes of here, so we all go up to my grandparents' and eat there, 25 or 30 of us. Good times. :)

CB, It depends on the family. We have turkey for turkeydeath however we generally have a swedish dish for christmas (however we celebrate christmas like the swedes, so) whose name escapes me at the moment, but I always hear about christmas ham. Honestly, I find ham repulsive (for the most part).

Anywho, I plan on going to my great grandma's house in Marin (up in the hills, woo) for turkeydeath with my step-dad's family, as my mom is in Sacramento for the day and I'm not at my father's house.

Well, it's just about 3:00 here and we just finished Thanks Giving dinner :D:D. I'm not sure why but we had it early. My family came over, and I personally had a great time.

Anyways, Happy Thanks Giving TBCS! Enjoy your meals, have a good time, and eat 'til you pop.

Pigeons, ferral cats, foxes and rats. Not good eating (I suspect, but don't know).

Oh - and Irishmen ;)

It was alright. I'm glad I became happy again (stupid mood swings) and am enjoying myself right now even though I'm tired as hell and it's 3am. But yeah... it wasn't too bad. I ate a lot and then became hungry again an hour later and ate more. Good food.

I had a good one, my family came over and we at a ton of food then watched the New Diehard (I'm thankful for bruce willis still being a badass). I ate too much food though, I don't think I have ever been as full as I was last night.

Hahaha... it's not what you think, lol. I was watching Rat Race and I read through that "Think you've had a bad day?" or whatever it is thread... laughed so hard I almost woke up the family. Heh heh.
