I jst got done getting rid of my 69 camaro. It was a great car but the body needed to much work for me. I sold it to a friend that is going to keep it and take care of it. I also bought a 71 Chevy Nova. It has a 350 ci motor(only 6,000 miles on the motor), turbo 350 trans, etc. It may not look as cool as the camaro but the body is in much better shape and as a whole, its a lot closer to the car i want. Fast to:twisted:.
Sorry for the crappy pics but its dark outside. I will take more tomorrow.
The color is "Laser Red."

Yeah, it needed to much work and i dont have the time or the money to do it. So, I bought something complete. I runs great, very strong, and the body was restored about 3 years ago. The camaro needs about $5k (US) and hundreds of man hours worth of work done to it to be nice. This one only needs a few things to make it mine :)

Nice find, it is super ****ing clean. Does it have any rust on the subframes?
danthegeek
10-18-2007, 05:21 PM
No rust at all. the oly rust i found was in the door jam where there is a small paint chip. Its only surface rust though so no problem. I just need a day off and some touch-up paint. Im also going to put a black vinyl top on and i need a piece of trim for the grill, everything else is done. I have added a 5in auto-meter tach and oil, temp, volt gauges on the inside. Ive also put in an MSD 6al ignition box to help cold starts. I may be able to get a small video of it running if youd like. It sounds mean with the gear-to-gear timing set.
(those pics where taken a week ago so it has changed a little)

It is supposed to sound whiney. Instead of a timing chain turning the camshaft it has a set of gears. because those gears are turning so fast they make a lot of noise. but, with a timing gear you dont have to worry about jumping time or the chain breaking.

Man, what a beaut. I've been wanting an older muscle car for a while. For some reason I keep getting these darn newer sporty cars ( 2g eclispe -> 2000 Mercury Cougar V6 -> 2003 Srt-4). Have had the Srt-4 since 03 though...so maybe I should look at something else....

Yeah it has flowmasters 50 series. It would be a lot louder with the 40 series but it is loud enough. Especially when I smash the throttle. :)

I don't really see any thing "sleeper" about a bright red 71 Chevy Nova 2 Door. :D Now if it were a Beige 87 Caprice with a supercharged 502 rolling on steelies with hubcaps.. it would be a different story.. heh

You know how they say "you can spend alot of money on a car?" Well, its true. So far i have spent $1100 on this nova. Some things it needed, some it didnt. Money seems to vanish quickly when it comes to that. I have bought a new Carb (old one was to big for the motor), new valve covers, air breather, braided fuel line, MSD 6al ignition box, tach and gauges, spark plugs, etc. Like I said, some i need some I dont.
Someone needs to take my debit card away from me :D
EDIT- I also just bought a 8800gt ($270). When will the MADNESS STOP!!!!!!! Someone HELP ME.................
"must buy .. more!!!!!"
i just got me a
Rover 400 V reg
Not exact car, refrence picture used
http://www.roverki.pl/images/articles/modele/400/43_004.jpg
It is a nice car, 2.1, 7000RPM Redline, does about 40 odd MPG (Adverage) about 30MPG with my driving style (I tend to rev the nuts off, i get annoyed with sunday drivers)
not lether but its nice, cleanm tidy, heating dosen't work, it has HOT and ****ING HOT. Has AC but don't use it, damages MPG
